Athirappilly Water Falls

Athirappilly Falls, is situated in Thrissur District of Kerala which originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats at the entrance to the Sholayar ranges.lt is the largest waterfall in Kerala, which stands tall at 80 feet. Just a short drive from Athirapally to the Vazhachal falls, which is close to dense green forests that are home to many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna.

Thrissur Pooram

The Thrissur Pooram is an annual Hindu temple festival held in Thrissur, Kerala, India. It is held at the Vadakkunnathan Temple in Thrissur every year on the Pooram day-the day when the moon rises with the Pooram star in the Malayalam Calendar month of Medam. It is the largest and most famous of all poorams in India. Thrissur pooram is also one of the largest festivals in Asia with more than 1 million visitors.

Pulikali (Tiger Dance)

Pulikali (Tiger Dance) is one among the folk art forms of Kerala. On the fourth day of Onam festival, artists paint their bodies like tigers with stripes of yellow, red and black and dance to the rhythm of traditional percussion instruments such as thakil, udukku and chenda. The Swaraj Ground in Thrissur district plays host to this carnival that has people appearing in various unique hues and masks, with the locals and visitors alike joining in on the revelry.

Nattika beach

Nattika beach, the beach where Malayalam classic movie 'Chemmeen' was shot, is situated at Thrissur and offers recreational facilities like backwater cruises and country boat rides to the visitors. This traditional fisherman's village offers other attractions like elephant rides, cultural performances etc.

Vadakkumnathan Temple

The Vadakkumnathan Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva in Thrissur, in the Thrissur district of Kerala, India. The temple is a classical example of the architectural style of Kerala and has one monumental tower on each of the four sides in addition to a koothambalam. Mural paintings depicting various scenes from the Mahabharata can be seen inside the temple.

Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple

Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Guruvayurappan (four-armed form of the Vishnu), located in the town of Guruvayur. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus often referred to as Bhuloka Vaikunta (Holy Abode of Vishnu on Earth).The temple is Classified one among the 108 Abhimana Kshethram of Vaishnavate tradition.

Mammiyur Shiva Temple

The temple is a part of the 108 famous Shiva temples in Kerala and one among the five Shiva temples around Guruvayoor. The main deity is Lord Shiva, who is installed in the concept of 'Uma Maheshwara' - His form with Goddess Parvathi on his left. There is a shrine for Lord Vishnu also here.

Arattupuzha
