Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple

Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Guruvayurappan (four-armed form of the Vishnu), located in the town of Guruvayur. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus often referred to as Bhuloka Vaikunta (Holy Abode of Vishnu on Earth).The temple is Classified one among the 108 Abhimana Kshethram of Vaishnavate tradition.

Vadakkumnathan Temple

The Vadakkumnathan Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva in Thrissur, in the Thrissur district of Kerala, India. The temple is a classical example of the architectural style of Kerala and has one monumental tower on each of the four sides in addition to a koothambalam. Mural paintings depicting various scenes from the Mahabharata can be seen inside the temple.

Tali Shiva Temple or Tali Mahakshetram

The temple was built in the 14th century by Zamorin of Calicut.Tali Kshetram is an ancient temple in the heart of Kozhikode town. Shiva is the presiding deity. The Jyothirlingam in the Sanctum Sanctorum is believed to have been installed by Parasuraman. The temple is one km to the east of Kozhikode railway station. It is surrounded by the Palayam market.

Parassini Madappura Sree Muthappan temple

Thiyya community urayima Principal deity of the temple is Sree Muthappan, whose divinity is presented as a ritualistic theyyam enactment in two versions called Thiruvappan and Vellattam. According to the local tradition the presiding deity is a manifestation of Lord Shiva.

Kottiyoor Temple

This name later evolved into Kottiyoor in the local dialect. Vadakkeshwaram Temple is the common name of the temple from ancient times, but some of the local people address the temple as Ikkare Kottiyoor as it is on the bank of the river close to the Kottiyoor village, to differentiate it from the shrine in the other side of the river. Thruchherumana Kshetram is also another name by which temple is known. There are two temples in Kottiyoor, one on the western bank of the Vavali river and the other one on the eastern bank.

Bekal Fort

Bekal Fort is a medieval fort built by Shivappa Nayaka of Keladi in 1650 AD, at Bekal. It is the largest fort in Kerala, spreading over 40 acres During the Perumal Age Bekal was a part of Mahodayapuram. Following the decline of Mahodayapuram Perumals, Bekal came under the sovereignty of the Mushika or Kolathiri or Chirakkal Royal Family in the 12th century.

Kollengode

Kollengode is a town in Palakkad district, Kerala.Kollengode is a village nestled at the foot of the Nelliyampathy mountain ranges in Palakkad district near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. It is 26 km from Palakkad city. The area, which was known as Venganad in ancient times, later came under the sway of the Kollengode royal family who were vassals of the Zamorin. Pulikali (Tiger Dance)

Kalpathy Ratholsavam

Tattamangalam Kuthira Vela

Jatayu Earth Center, also known as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a park and tourism centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam district of Kerala, India. It stands at an altitude of 350m (1200ft) above the mean sea level. Jatayu Nature Park holds the distinction of having the world's largest bird sculpture, which is of Jatayu. The sculpture measures 200 feet (61 m) long, 150 feet (46 m) wide, 70 feet (21 m) in height and occupies 15,000 square feet (1,400 m²) of floor area). This rock-theme nature park was the first Public-private partnership tourism initiative in the state of Kerala under the BOT model.

Munnar

Munnar is a hill station in the Idukki district of Kerala, known for its tea plantations, cool climate, and lush. Munnar is situated in the Western Ghats mountain range at an altitude of about 1,600 meters above sea level. The name "Munnar" comes from the Malayalam words for "three rivers", referring to the confluence of the Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala mountain streams.During the colonial era, Munnar was a summer resort for the British government in South India.

The Neelakurinji can be found in the Western Ghats, the Shevroys in the Eastern Ghats, the Annamalai hills, the Agali hills, and the Sandur hills.

Sabarimala Temple

The Sabarimala Temple is a famous Hindu temple in Kerala, India, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa.The temple is located on a hilltop in the Western Ghats, 3,000 meters above sea level, in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala.The temple's origins are debated, but some believe it was founded by Lord Parshuram.The pilgrim season is from November to mid-January, and the temple is closed for the rest of the year except for the first five days of every Malayalam month. Chembra Peak is a popular trekking destination in Wayanad.Chembra Peak is located in the Wayanad hill ranges of the Western Ghats, about 17 km from Kalpetta and near Meppady town. Chembra Peak is 2,100 meters above sea level.Chembra Peak is known for its heart-shaped lake, waterfalls, and lush greenery. The area is also home to many rare species of flora and fauna. The trek to the summit is considered challenging but manageable.

Thamarassery Churam

Thamarassery Churam, is a mountain pass in Kerala, India that connects the Kozhikode and Wayanad districts: Thamarassery Churam is located on National Highway 766 in the Western Ghats, which run parallel to the western coast of India. The mountain pass is about 14 kilometers long, stretching from Adivaram to Lakkidi View Point. The pass is known for its steep turns and bends, and offers views of the plains below. Some say that each hairpin bend opens up a new frontier.

Thirunelli temple

The Thirunelli temple is believed to have been built by Lord Brahma. He was travelling round the earth upon a swan and noticed the enchanting beauty of the Brahmagiri Hills. He descended on the spot and found an idol of Vishnu under an Amla tree. He installed the idol there and called the temple Sahyamalaka temple.

Kathakali

Makeup and costumes Kathakali is known for its elaborate makeup and costumes, which include a white facial border called a chutti. Aranmula Uthrattathi Vallamkali

The Aranmula Uthrittathi Vallamkali, or Aranmula Boat Race, is a grand boat race and cultural spectacle in Kerala, India: The race takes place annually on the day of Uthrittathi in the Malayalam month of Chingam, which is usually between August and September. The race takes place on the River Pamba in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. The race commemorates the dedication of the idol at the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple. It's linked to the temple's rituals and religious practices. The race features Aranmula chundan boats, which are larger and taller than other chundan vallams. The boats are decorated with golden lace, flags, and ornamental umbrellas.

Anakulam

Anakulam is a small Village/hamlet in Devikulam Block in Idukki District of Kerala State. It comes under Mankulam Panchayath. It belongs to Central Kerala Division . It is located 41 KM towards North from District head quarters Painavu. 33 KM from Devikulam. Anakkulam is nearly 15 km away from Munnar Tea Estate. Everyone can enjoy dally here in large elephant herds within a distance of 50 meter. The herd strength includes young calf and the mighty tuskers. A nice walk through the forest and a cool bath in the Ittacholayar freshen one’s mind.

Kumbalangi Kavaru

With the onset of dusk, this location gets lit up by a natural phenomenon called bioluminescence, wooing people from all parts of the world. Well known in Kerala as 'Kavaru', bioluminescence occurs especially in summers when the water in the fields turns salty. The saltier the water, the brighter it gets.

Kakkathuruthu Island

Cheenavala

Once just a fishing accessory, it is a now a big bait for tourists. Chinese fishing nets Cheenavala in Malayalam - is believed to have been introduced in Kochi by Chinese explorer Zheng He, from the court of the Kubla Khan. Mattancherry Palace

Hill Palace Thrippunithura

Thrippunithura is an archaeological museum and palace located in the neighbourhood of Kochi.It is the largest archeological museum in the state and was the imperial administrative office and official residence of the Cochin Maharaja. Built in 1865, the palace complex consists of 49 buildings spreading across 54 acres (220,000 m²) and built in the traditional architectural style. The complex has an archaeological museum, a heritage museum, a deer park, a pre-historic park and a children's park.

Puthenthode Beach

Kollam Cashew Mango

Kollam is the nerve-centre of the country's cashew trading and processing industry. The cashew industry in Kollam boasts of a legacy of a century of cashew nut export. It was in 1920 that the first batch of cashews was exported from the country, from Kollam to the USA.

Malampuzha Dam

Malampuzha Dam is the largest reservoir in Kerala and was built in 1955 across Malampuzha, a tributary River Nila. Malampuzha garden with its manicured lawns, well laid out flower beds, pools, fountains and pathways is situated adjacent to the dam. The garden is famous for its aerial ropeway.

Kava, in Malampuzha ,Palakkad district is one of the best spots in the state to chase the monsoon amid a perfect background of hills, trees and reservoir.

Nelliyampathy Orange Farms

The oranges grown in the hills were famous for their sweetness and small size. Though the quality and yield of Nelliyampathy oranges have fallen over the years, the farm is still attracting fruit lovers who flock this part of the Western Ghats.

Palakkad Fort

It was built by Hyder Ali of Mysore in 1766 and later taken over and modified by the British in 1790. It is now preserved by Archeological Survey of India. A temple of Lord Hanuman is adjacent to the main entrance of the Fort. A museum of Archeology is also functioning inside the Fort.

Nenmara Vallangi Vela

Nenmmara and Vallangi are two neighbouring villages in the south part of Palakkad district, which is in the valley of Nelliyampathi hills. The green carpet of paddy field will turn to the festival ground in the first week of April. The festival falls on 20th of 'Meenam' according to the Malayalam Calendar (2nd or 3rd of every April).The 'Kodiyettam' (starting) will be celebrated on 'meenam 1st' every year.
